CENTRAL ILLINOIS REGIONAL AIRPORT ANNOUNCES NEW LOYALTY PROGRAM

BLOOMINGTON, IL (March 154, 2006)--The Central Illinois Regional Airport at Bloomington-Normal announces the launch of its new CIRA Rewards loyalty program.  The airport wants to reward the passengers of the Central Illinois Regional Airport that travel frequently and choose to fly from CIRA.

Three levels offer rewards ranging from in-airport coupons for food and merchandise to frequent flier miles and upgrades on airlines serving CIRA.  Members receive one point each time they travel on an airline through the Central Illinois Regional Airport.

“We wanted a program that would offer added value to our best customers, “ said Paul Harmon, Chairman of the Bloomington-Normal Airport Authority Board of Commissioners.  “CIRA Rewards will help us offer something in return for their regular use of our airport.”

Specific information on the program can be obtained through the airport’s website at www.cira.com.  New Rewards members can expect to receive their own personalized Rewards card in the mail shortly after signing up for the program.

“This is one of only a handful of loyalty programs offered by airports in the country, the first in our region, and also one of the most advanced,” according to Carl Olson, Executive Director at CIRA. “ We want our passengers to know we value their business and we know they have options.  We want CIRA to be the central Illinois business traveler’s airport of choice.”

Dan Irvin, Director of Corporate Communications and Public Relations for Mitsubishi Motors North America has already joined the program. “The free parking, airline choices and easy to navigate terminal building, make flying out of Central Illinois Regional Airport a pleasant experience,” said Irvin. “It’s great to be rewarded for flying out of what’s already the most convenient downstate airport.”

Reducing the stress of business travel is also one of the goals of the program.  Says Olson, “This is just one more example of how Central Illinois Regional Airport is your easy, low cost way to fly.”

The Central Illinois Regional Airport carried close to half million passengers through Central Illinois in 2005.  With five airlines, five car rentals and a variety of food and retail shops housed in a modern terminal building, the airport offers convenient access to worldwide destinations. #
