, December 23, 2008)… Northwest Airlines will begin jet service to and from
the
Central
Illinois
Regional
Airport
at Bloomington-Normal (BMI) and Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW)
on March 2, 2009. The fifty seat
Canadair regional jet will operate with the following daily schedule.

Chairman of the Bloomington-Normal Airport Authority.“Northwest’s decision
to upgrade our flight to a fifty seat jet during a time of deep capacity cuts in
the airline industry signifies confidence in the central Illinois travel market
to Detroit and other important business centers in the northeast. “
